Hey there Yogis! We the Treelance family were wondering how we could honor you and thank you for being part of this ever-growing community. You may know by now that our purpose is to help you find balance, so we thought it would be a good idea to share with you once a week some inspiring words and a few recommendations to kick off the day and spread positive and powerful vibrations! Nurturing ourselves is not just about eating healthy food, it is also about being conscious and selective when choosing what we read, what we listen to, where we look, how we spend our time. We would like then to contribute to feed your soul! That’s why we will be sending you every Monday: One poem chosen by Y., our Communications Specialist One Yoga asana recommended by Karina Catellani, yoga instructor & founder of our small business A podcast, movie, playlist or TV show that is worth your time, selected by our picky team! We hope you enjoy it. Please, don’t hesitate to let us know your thoughts and suggestions. We would love to hear from you. And here we go! I. "The summer day" by Mary Oliver I don't know exactly what a prayer is.I do know how to pay attention, how to fall downinto the grass, how to kneel down in the grass, how to be idle and blessed, how to stroll through the fields, which is what I have been doing all day.Tell me, what else should I have done?Doesn't everything die at last, and too soon?Tell me, what is it you plan to dowith your one wild and precious life? II. Viparita Karani or Legs Up the Wall Pose Planning a new and desirable life requires most of the time a change in perspective. So enjoy a literal change in perspective by turning your world upside down and practicing a yoga inversion.Inversions are not just fancy tricks that look cool on social media. There are so many accessible inversions that will give you all of the great benefits of having your head below your heart - fear factor not required! Viparita Karani is an inversion under the category of shoulder stand poses, but is easier to hold for extended periods of time. It is also considered as a restorative pose and hence releases tension in the body and mind. Steps, Benefits, Precautions III. On Being with Krista Tippett | Podcast On Being, which began on public radio, has been named a best podcast by The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Guardian, the Webbys, iHeart Radio — with more than 400 million downloads. Adventures into what can replenish and orient us in this wild ride of a time to be alive: biomimicry and the science of awe; spiritual contrarianism and social creativity; pause and poetry and more towards stretching into this world ahead with dignity, wisdom — and joy. Episode: “I got saved by the beauty of the world” A rare, intimate conversation with Mary Oliver The late poet Mary Oliver is among the most beloved writers of modern times. Amidst the harshness of life, she found redemption in the natural world and in beautiful, precise language. She won the Pulitzer Prize and the National Book Award among her many honors — and published numerous collections of poetry and also some wonderful prose. Krista met with her in 2015 for this rare, intimate conversation. We offer it up anew, as nourishment. We'll get back to you shortly Yogis!
