Hey there Yogis!
As you all know, last Wednesday was International Women’s Day — a date that is especially meaningful for us as a small business founded and run by a woman.
Today’s edition is dedicated not only to women, but also to all those who find themselves in vulnerable positions and who continue to face the consequences of unjust and oppressive systems.
Collectively, we can move toward a more equitable world.
Together, we can all #EmbraceEquity.
I. Still I Rise
by Maya Angelou
You may shoot me with your words,
You may cut me with your eyes,
You may kill me with your hatefulness,
But still, like air, I’ll rise.
Every year on March 8, International Women’s Day celebrates women’s achievements, raises awareness about inequality and discrimination, and encourages global support for gender equity.
But what is the origin of International Women’s Day?
On February 28, 1909, the Socialist Party of America organized the first National Woman’s Day to honor the 15,000 women who protested in New York against difficult working conditions and unequal pay.
In 1910, Clara Zetkin, a women's rights activist and leader of the Women’s Office for the Social Democratic Party in Germany, proposed the idea of an international day dedicated to women’s rights.
On March 19, 1911, the first International Women’s Day was celebrated, with more than one million people participating across Austria, Denmark, Germany, and Switzerland.
Since then, people around the world have continued to use this day as an opportunity to advocate for equal rights, fair opportunities, and greater representation.
II. Goddess Pose
Utkata Konasana
Goddess Pose is a powerful posture that encourages connection with inner strength and stability.
Utkata Konasana helps activate grounding energy, supporting feelings of confidence and self-assurance.
Physically, this pose strengthens the legs, hips, and core, while also opening the chest and shoulders.
It can improve balance and support a sense of empowerment.
Goddess Pose invites you to take up space, connect with your body, and explore your own sense of resilience.

III. On the Basis of Sex | Movie
On the Basis of Sex tells the inspiring story of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who, early in her career, faced numerous challenges as a lawyer and a new mother working toward gender equality.
The film follows Ruth as she takes on a groundbreaking legal case alongside her husband, attorney Martin Ginsburg.
Together, they challenge gender discrimination within the legal system and contribute to changing how the courts interpret equality.
The story also highlights the partnership between Ruth and Martin, showing how mutual support and shared values can shape both personal and professional success.
The film offers an inspiring look at perseverance, justice, and the importance of challenging unfair systems.
